WHAT IS MY CVN NUMBER?

The Card Verification Number (CVN) is an extra code printed on your debit or credit card. CVN for Visa, MasterCard, BankCard and Diners is the final three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of your card.

CVN for American Express appears as a separate 4-digit code printed on the front of your card.

As the CVN is not embossed (like the card number) the CVN is not printed on any receipts, hence it is not likely to be known by anyone other than the card owner.

CVN is an anti-fraud measure being introduced by credit card companies worldwide. You are required to enter the CVN each time a payment is made and you are not present to sign a receipt, as for on-line transactions. We ask you to fill out the CVN here to verify that you actually hold the card you are using for this transaction, and to avoid anyone other than you from shopping with your card number. All information you submit is transferred over secure SSL connections.

* The name of this code differs per card company. You may also know it as the Card Verification Code (CVC), the Card Security Code or the Personal Security Code. All names cover the same type of information.

Clairault Margaret River Cane Cut Riesling

  2011
375mL

This wine has an attractive aroma of orange blossom, mandarin, kaffir lime citrus notes, along with a definite candied fruit overlay. On the palate there is a honeyed citrus sweetness which is balanced by a vibrancy that keeps the wine from cloying. Marmalade and apricot flavours linger long after the wine has left the mouth.

Vincent Gaudry Sancerre Le Tournebride

  2013
375mL

Vincent Gaudry uses fruit from all three soils types in Sancerre--chalk, silex and clay-limestone marl--to make Le Tournebride, a rarirty for the region, and a boon to this wine. The chalky soils contribute perfumy grapefruit and lime notes, while the silex adds a smoky mineral dimension and the clay-limestone marls give weight and structure. The result, a wonderfully complete representation of all that Sancerre has to offer: fruit, mineral and substance.

Maestro Tejero La Cosa Dulce - The Thing Moscatel

  2014
375mL

We have written about some unusual wines over the years but The Thing takes the biscuit. It's made from 100 per cent Moscatel de Alejandría from a high-altitude site at Segovia near Valladolid and the Spanish capital, Madrid. After picking, the grapes are hung to dry out for two months. Roughly 50 per cent of the crop is affected by botrytis.

Schmitges Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese

  2011
375mL

The Mosel region with its contributors Saar and Ruwer is one of the classic European wine regions. As early as 2000 years ago the slopes of these valleys were used to cultivate vines. The Mosel region is probably the oldest German wine region especially characterised by its steep slope vineyards. It is this distinctiveness that the makers of this wine want to express.

Parri Vin Santo del Chianti Montespertoli Riserva DOCG

  2000
500mL

Vin Santo is a wine which is close to the heart of every Tuscan wine producer. Extreme care is dedicated to the selection of the fruit. Bunches are then hung on wooden poles and left to dry until late January, then slowly fermented and aged in oak for 4 years. The wine has a lovely amber colour, with an intense and characteristic perfume, showing scents of nectarine and coconut. Harmonious and velvety on the palate.

A powerful, complex and fragrant wine combining apricot leather, quince and pink grapefruit flavours with toasted hazelnut and spicy oak. Bodegas y Vinedos Maestro Tejero La Cosa Dulce

  2014
375mL

Every bottle will taste a little different so it's a little disingenuous to write a tasting note. Let's just say it's a peculiar and delicious, character-rich wine with amazing, rapier-like acidity splicing though a luscious core of unctuous fruitiness. One of the weirdest wines you are likely to try.
