WHAT IS MY CVN NUMBER?

The Card Verification Number (CVN) is an extra code printed on your debit or credit card. CVN for Visa, MasterCard, BankCard and Diners is the final three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of your card.

CVN for American Express appears as a separate 4-digit code printed on the front of your card.

As the CVN is not embossed (like the card number) the CVN is not printed on any receipts, hence it is not likely to be known by anyone other than the card owner.

CVN is an anti-fraud measure being introduced by credit card companies worldwide. You are required to enter the CVN each time a payment is made and you are not present to sign a receipt, as for on-line transactions. We ask you to fill out the CVN here to verify that you actually hold the card you are using for this transaction, and to avoid anyone other than you from shopping with your card number. All information you submit is transferred over secure SSL connections.

* The name of this code differs per card company. You may also know it as the Card Verification Code (CVC), the Card Security Code or the Personal Security Code. All names cover the same type of information.

Dr Loosen Urziger Wurzgarten Auslese

  2010
375mL

Blazing red and insanely steep, the Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard fills the picturesque amphitheater formed by this dramatic bend in the river. Although it’s directly adjacent to the vineyards of Erden, it produces a completely different kind of wine, with exotic, spicy aromas and a mesmerizing earthiness. No other vineyard on the Mosel produces wines so bursting with tropical fruit flavors. The estate’s oldest vines are found here.

Yves Cuilleron Saint Joseph La Lombard

  2014
375mL

Lombard is sourced from vines near to the Cuilleron winery in Chavanay, where the Condrieu vineyards reluctantly cede to those of St Joseph. The soil does not lack for granite, however, and its aspect is suitably precarious.

Pegasus Bay Final Noble Semillon

  2011
375mL

It has a complex interplay of floral, candied fruit, marzipan, bush honey, vanilla pod and toasted almond characters. It seems to expand on the palate to become unctuous, mouth
filling and luscious, yet a counterfoil of refreshing acidity keeps it perfectly balanced and prevents any cloying. The aromas and flavours linger on the palate long after it is swallowed.

By Farr Chardonnay

  2016
375mL

The trademark characteristics of the wine produced on the By Farr site are understated power and length with a mineral finish - this wine has a great fruit expression that is well integrated with French oak.

The palate is fine but firm, with great acidity, texture and length - rich in flavour, yet very refined.

Fritz Haag B Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese

  2012
375mL

Impressive wines at the upper level, where the quality is not far behind that of the 2009 vintage, but of course stylistically very different. In particular this wine, te Juffer Sonnenuhr Auslese, is a stunning effort and highly recommended!

Grande Maison Monbazillac 'Cuvee du Chateau'

  2009
500mL

From selected botrytised grapes – wood aged – very fresh and will keep very well though drinking brilliantly now. Rich luscious and long finishing fresh. A stunning success in this outstanding vintage, 2009 combines richness and freshness giving a wine of great power with balanced acidity. Fabulous.

John Kosovich Rare Muscat

375mL

This wine is blended from 1950 Muscat base material that has been skilfully blended with other vintages from 1974 to 1996 to create something that is indeed a 'rare' blend. The average age of this wine is 25 years.

Suavia Acinatum Recioto di Soave DOCG

  2008
375mL

Made from 100% garganega grapes that have been carefully hand selected then rack dried to concentrate the sugars.

Saffron Yellow. Elegant and harmonious, sweet notes of light coloured honey (acacia) and of candied fruit (orange, apricot). Nice and delicate mineral notes. Delicious thanks to the elegant sweetness and a sober freshness together with an unmistakable minerality.

FX Pichler Gruner Veltiner Loibenberg Smaragd

  2012
375mL

Lucas Pichler was one of the numerous growers to describe the relatively low alcohol and efficious acidity of his 2007s as "classic", even though at hsi address in particular, one can hardly consider that statistically correct.

The finished wines are reminiscent of the superb Pichler 1999s which were lushly, at times even extravagently fruity (not to mention intensely mineral) while remaining refreshing and moderate in alcohol.

Domaine Yves Cuilleron St Joseph Le Lombard

  2014

Heidi Schrock Beerenauslese Selektion

  2010
375mL

Note: 50% Welschriesling and 50% Weissburgunder. 85% botrytis affected grapes and 15% ‘fresh’ grapes.

Fermented and matured for 12 months in wooden casks. Lake Neusiedl creates a unique climate in its environs. High humidity around the lake allows botrytis to grow in most years.

Huet Le Haut Lieu Moelleux Vouvray

  2005
375mL

This is a bargain from what most Loire lovers consider one of the great vintages of recent times. Whilst 2005 is not a great botrytis year, the concentrated and minerally Moelleux could be excellent thanks to the dry, warm conditions at harvest.

92 Points - David Schildknecht

Mount Mary Chardonnay

  2012
375mL

Mount Mary commands mythical status among wine collectors!  And rightfully so!

The 2011 Mount Mary Chardonnay fits handsomely into the line-up of Mount Mary Chardonnays. There are typical aromas of oatmeal, honey and grapefruit combined with white peach and citrus, reflective of the cooler growing season.

Yves Cuilleron Condrieu La Petite Cote

  2013
375mL

There is Viognier and then there is Cuilleron Condrieu…

This may as well be a different variety from your typical Aussie Viognier really, with this managing to balance phenolic drive, acidity and fruit power, the result bloody delicious. Even more amazing given that this was wild fermented and matured in barrique for nine months, going through full malo – lots of winemaking ‘work’ but no hint of the flab you’d normally expect, even for Condrieu.

Dr Loosen Beerenauslese

  2011
375mL

A slightly chewy, tart fruit skin character (of apple and cherry) also characterizes the Loosen 2006 Bernkasteler Lay Riesling Kabinett. Fresh lime from the nose through the finish lends a juicy and invigorating streak, and a distinct sense of wet stone, too, provides a cantus firmus. While not remotely as exciting as the amazing Kabinett collection in 2005, these 2006s have undeniable charm. And this one, too, should be fun to follow for 5-7 years.
